SA Distribution Map based
on current data relating to
specimens held in the
State Herbarium of South Australia

Biology: Although widely distributed, it has been found in very few localities, a fact which has strengthened R. Rogers' (1927), Trans. R.Soc. S. Aust. 51:4, opinion that it is a peloric form of C. robertsonii and some systematists regard it simply as a synonym (Clements (1982) Preliminary checklist qf Australian Orchidaceae 50). "A number of genetic changes are required to go from an elongate hairy labellum with deeply lacinate margins to a smooth, entire elliptical organ and as the taxon is easily recognised, the status of the species should be maintained." D. Jones personal letter (1985).
