Common name: Northern cypress-pine, white (or Flinders Range) cypress-pine, Murray (or Flinders Range) pine.

Description:
Broad conical tree to 15 m high, though in less favourable parts of its distribution a stunted tree sometimes no higher than 3 m; leaves glaucous, occasionally dark-green, abaxial surface rounded. Peduncle 0.1-0.4 cm wide, 0.1-1.6 cm long.

Cones usually single, sometimes in groups of 2 or more, globose or subglobose, 1-3.1 cm wide, 0.7-2.2 cm long, dorsal surface finely to coarsely rugose, very occasionally with a few small tubercles; dorsal point inconspicuous; columella simple.

Distribution:  Frequently occurs as a stand of trees, forming a woodland or open woodland, over a wide range of soil types and rainfall regimes.

  All mainland States.

Conservation status: native
