Citation: R. Br., Prod. Fl. Nov. Holl. 263 (1810) var. intermedia (Sonder) Anway, Aust. J. Bot. 17:158 (1969).

Synonymy: C. intermedia Sonder, Linnaea 28:222 (1856).

Common name: Blue tinsel-lily.

Description:
More or less pubescent shrub, 30-50 cm high; leaves erect, crowded, almost pungent, very short.

Flowers solitary at the end of the short branches, blue or purple, with a metallic sheen, the narrow tube 7-12 mm long, the rigid spreading lobes 10-15 mm long; anthers yellow.

Distribution:  Apparently rare in sandy heaths.

Conservation status: native

Flowering time: Sept. — Oct.
