Description:
Perennial with herbaceous branches up to 30 cm long, little to moderately branched, decumbent to prostrate; stems quadrangular, usually glabrous but sometimes finely denticulate along the ridges; leaves and stipules about equal, in whorls of 4, linear or linear-lanceolate, 4-8 mm long, acute and rarely with a short terminal hair, glabrous except for the denticulate margin and mid-vein on the undersurface, erect to spreading.
Inflorescence a terminal dichasium with 3-5 flowers; corolla white.
Fruit c. 2 mm long, deeply 2-lobed but usually not breaking apart.
