Fr. 42:84 (1895); L. miraculosus Miq. var. melaleucae (Miq.)Blakely, Proc. Linn. Soc. N.S.W. 48:135 (1923).

Description:
Glabrous; epicortical runners absent; leaf lamina lanceolate to narrow-spathulate, 20-45 mm long, 2-4 (rarely to 7) mm wide, gradually attenuate at the base and without a distinct petiole, rounded at the apex.

Inflorescence peduncle usually 6-12 mm long; rays usually 2, usually 4-9 mm long; pedicels of the lateral flowers angular, usually 3-4.5 mm long; bracts 1-1.5 mm long; calyx limb almost entire, c. 0.3 mm long; corolla inflated at the base, clavate, 16-22 mm long, 4- or 5-merous, red; anthers 1-2 mm long, about half the length of the free part of the filament.

Fruit nearly globular, 6-8 mm long.

Distribution:  In coastal situations, exclusively parasitic on Melaleuca.

S.Aust.: NU, FR, EP, NL, MU, YP, SL, KI, SE.   W.Aust.

Conservation status: native

Flowering time: Nov. — April.
