Description:
Broom-like shrub 1-3 m tall; branches obscurely to prominently tuberculate, glabrous but prominently glandular-papillose; leaves alternate, linear-subterete, elliptic to oblanceolate, 14.5-72 x 0.9-8.5 mm, apex acute, uncinate, margins entire, obscurely pubescent on the adaxial surface when immature, otherwise glabrous, viscid at least at branch tips.

Flowers 2-8 per axil; pedicel 2.5-5.5 mm long, glabrous or glandular-pubescent; sepals imbricate, subequal, green to cream or rarely reddish, spathulate, oblong to oblanceolate, 2.5-9 x 1-4.5 mm, obtuse, enlarging after flowering and prominently veined, outside surface glandular-pubescent with longer eglandular hairs or glabrous, margins ciliate, inside surface glabrous; corolla 8-18.5 mm long, white or lilac, brown-spotted in the tube, outside surface sparsely to densely pubescent, the hairs consisting of short glandular and longer eglandular ones, inside surface of the medial lobe of the lower lip and tube below it and around stamen bases villous, lobes obtuse; stamens included, filaments with scattered hairs near the base, anthers glabrous; ovary villous with numerous shorter glandular hairs, style pilose or glabrous.

Fruit dry, ovoid, 4.5-5.5 x 2-3 mm, pubescent.

Distribution:  Widespread on red-brown earths or on rocky soils in ranges in mulga woodland.
