Description:
Shrub or tree 1-10 m; branches smooth or more rarely tuberculate, glabrous, viscid; leaves alternate, scattered, linear-lanceolate, 30-90 x 3-10 mm long, acuminate, uncinate, margins dentate in the distal half entire below, glabrous.
Flowers 4-11 per axil; pedicel 4-6 mm long, glabrous, viscid; sepals valvate, triangular, c. 0.5 x 0.5 mm, glabrous, viscid; corolla 3.5-7 mm long, white often tinged purplish-pink, unspotted or with 3 lobes spotted purplish-brown to orange-yellow, outside surface glabrous, inside of lobes and upper part of tube villous, lobes obtuse, lowermost one often notched at the apex; anthers exserted, glabrous, ovary and style glabrous.
Fruit dry, flattened, ovoid in side view, glabrous.
